If you haven’t seen on social media, we successfully hosted the 6th generation of Beautiful Pioneers. This round was made possible through our partnership with COSRX!

//

Dear 6th generation BPs: The Cupidrop family would like to express our deepest gratitude because thanks to you, our 6th Generation campaign was another success!

We distributed Cosrx’s brand-spankin’-new Low pH BHA Overnight Sleeping Mask to 30 K-Beauty enthusiasts from all over the country. We also threw in a little surprise—the other new goodie: Low pH PHA Barrier Mist. We got honest feedback—mostly positive—but all of our Beautiful Pioneers offered valuable thoughts that were super helpful as always.

Here is a report on what we got from our Beautiful Pioneers:

Cosrx – Low pH BHA Overnight Sleeping Mask

WHAT IT IS:

A moisturizing sleeping mask that reveals a softer, brighter complexion in the morning. Contains 0.9% BHA which smoothes out the skin without irritation.

WHEN TO USE:

Overnight while you sleep. Can be used during daytime, with proper SPF!

HOW TO USE:

As the last step of your skincare routine, apply evenly onto face and gently massage to aid in absorption. Apply SPF if used during daytime.

REACTION:

The Beautiful Pioneers loved the mask’s ability to make their skin feel and look smoother and brighter! The cream’s consistency is thick & rich, which makes it an ideal product to layer over all the lighter serums and moisturizers. However, some BPs noted that this makes it a bit difficult to spread. BPs also noted that if you’re looking for a potent BHA product, then this may not be the one as it’s a product you have to use for a longer time, consistently. Many also stated that this is a reformulation of the BHA Blackhead Power Cream, which is true! However, the Low pH BHA Overnight Mask contains a bit less BHA, which makes it friendly for more types of skin.

SNIPPETS:

Here are some interesting thoughts from our reviewers:

First impressions review! ☺️ . 💙 I'm a huge fan of @cosrx products so when the Low pH BHA Overnight Mask came out I was really eager to try it out, more so after discovering that it has 50% centella asiatica leaf water! I'm really digging centella based skincare lately as my skin loves its soothing properties 🌿. I was beyond excited when I got in @cupidrop.official's review program for it! 🙏 . 💙 This sleeping mask has 0.9% BHA (in the form of betaine salicylate) that helps smooth skin texture as well as deeply moisturize and soften the skin. As my skin is acne-prone, I love to incorporate BHA products in my routine since it's an exfoliant that helps unclog my pores and treat blemishes. This product is precisely designed with sensitive, dry, and troubled skin types in mind (I have combination, troubled skin). . 💙 It has a super thick, balm type texture that I had to get used to at first. I am always wary of thick creams since they tend to clog my pores and create whiteheads even overnight, so I usually prefer to layer on lightweight, gel-type products. After using this one consecutively, however, I found that not only did this product NOT give me any whiteheads or breakouts, but (as it should) helped treat them overnight instead! 🙌 I would wake up with significantly softer skin, and breakouts less apparent 😁 . 💙 I also came to enjoy its thick texture to my surprise, since it moisturizes SO well (thanks to it containing panthenol and beeswax) while being absorbed very quickly without any heaviness or stickiness. For me, this means less steps in my routine 😆, but drier skin types would definitely benefit from its deeply moisturizing property, and oilier skin types could apply a thinner layer or use it as a spot treatment 👌 . 💙 So all in all, so far I'm really enjoying this sleeping mask!!! I also love how it comes in a hygienic and practical tube, its nice herbal scent (which is almost identical to the Cosrx centella blemish cream), and as all their products, the fact that it's super affordable 😁🙌 It retails for $21 @cupidrop.official. . 💜 Mini review on Low pH PHA Barrier Mist in comments 👇👇👇

PRODUCT REVIEW: @cosrx Low pH BHA Overnight Mask Price: $21.00 Retailer: @cupidrop.official Product Claims: Reveals a softer, brighter complexion by smoothing out the skin without irritation. Directions for use: Apply evenly onto face and gently massage into skin. Be sure to add spf if used during the day. My Experience: @cosrx is definitely one of my favorite brands for a reason! I loved this product and I plan on using this continually as part of my routine. I used this product every night for about 10 days. One thing I have noticed is it does tend to bring a few breakouts to the surface, but they heal quickly with this product. A slight purge of your skin can be normal given the BHAs found in this product. It has worked wonders for the blackheads on my nose which is great! Overall I know that I will reorder this product because it’s a great addition to my skincare routine! Thank you so much to @cupidrop.official and @cosrx for allowing me to review this product! 💕

🆕Initial Impressions on cosRX Low pH BHA Overnight Mask (courtesy of @cupidrop.official) is now live at my blog (link in BIO) Verdict: 👌 . . 👩‍💻Recap: I am not sure why cosRX reduced the percentage of BHA and didn’t make the pH level really low. One of the major complaints with the BHA Blackhead Power Cream was that people felt its pH level was too high for the percentage and now they made it even more weak. That said, I actually do like this overnight mask pack ~ it is gentle enough for me to use after I micro needle my skin ~ it won’t irritate it and I can use it nightly if I want to. I actually layer some other watery BHA acid products on my skin before applying this ~ and I can say that this product does work in the same manner as the BHA Blackhead Power Cream ~ my skin looks clearer and feels smoother and softer. However, if you have blackheads, you will need to use a stronger BHA product to tackle those, but for those who do not suffer all the time with blackheads, this is a good product. I just wish cosRX had made the pH level a 3 and had a stronger percentage of BHA in here. Maybe with the next reformulation, they will. The old formula had its issues as well, so I am not in despair over these changes ~ it works just as well, I believe and it doesn’t cause me to break out. My skin is soft, smooth, blemishes are reduced in size and my skin looks clearer. All in all, if you liked the BHA Blackhead Power Cream, you will like this product as well. Many thanks to Jenny for selecting me to be a 6th generation Beautiful Pioneer and not only sending me the overnight mask, but the new low pH PHA Barrier Mist too (I will have a review on that as well) . . #cupidrop #cosrx #beautifulpioneer #LowpHBHA #BHAovernightmask

My week with the new #cosrx BHA Overnight Mask 💧 Way back when this product was called the Blackhead Power Cream and contained a much more simple ingredient list. Cosrx went back to the drawing board and loaded it up with some new and improved ingredients!💧 First is .9% BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid. This gnarly acid helps regular sebum production (dry and oily alike!) as well as offering mild exfoliation. This overnight mask is also based with 50% Centella Water instead of regular water to provide an extra soothing/anti inflammatory effect. On top of these you’ll find B vitamins Niacinamide and Panthenol to help with maintaining hydration and renewing skin cells. Also Lactic Acid and PHA for further exfoliation.💧 The overnight mask is a thick balmy-cream that doesn’t apply the easiest. This has to be my biggest complaint about it! It makes a great occlusive moisturizing product but I found myself adding a drop or two of oil to make it apply easier. Is this a deal breaker? Hell no! I love the fact it’s as thick as it is. It’s an overnight mask and I expect it to prevent TEWL.💧 The times I was using it during the day was usually when I was adding oil to make it apply thinner. Yes, this can be worn during the day but recommended to wear SPF 30+! It has a relaxing tea tree scent that’s quite enjoyable and dissipates fast.💧 This sleeping mask is a winner for me! It’s texture takes some getting used to, but over a week I’ve noticed my skin isn’t as dry when I wake up. I also don’t feel like I need to scrub my nose after just one day! So I can see this cutting my regular exfoliation down some, but it’s too soon to say! 💧 Thank you to @cupidrop.official and @cosrx for providing this in exchange for my review, and for throwing in the lovely #LowpHBHA mist as well! It has a great nozzle and is a great refresher. Makeup or not!💕 . . . #BHAovernightmask #cosrx #kbeauty #bblogger #sleepingmask #mist
